Fourth Day Concluded

A great achievement for the Israeli Quad Team, who raised to the Finals in the World Championship in Wheelchair Tennis, after a victory 2:1 at the Semi-Finals over South Africa. Tomorrow at 10AM, at the Israeli Tennis Center in Ramat-HaSharon, Israel will face the Japanese Team, a scored a great victory 2:1 over Great Britain in the Semi-Finals. South Africa and Great Britain will battle for the Bronze Medal.

This was the fourth consecutive victory of the Israeli Team since the beginning of the Championship, all matches with the same 2:1 result. This is the 3rd Finals for the Team, after being defeated by both Australia and Great Britain is previous years.

In the Junior League: Australia reached the finals after defeating 3:0 Turkey, and Great Britain who defeated 2:1 Brazil.

In the Men’s League Sri-Lanka defeated 2:0 Israel. Adam Berdichevski was defeated 3:6 6:3 3:6 by Gamini Dissanayake. Guy Sasson was defeated 5:7 4:6 by Suresh Ranaweera.

In the Women’s League: Holland reached the finals after defeating 2:0 South Africa and Japan defeated 2:1 Great Britain.
